Morah Romy

My name is Romy Levinsohn. I was born and raised in South Africa, where I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. My journey began with studying Early Years Foundation Phase Teaching, focusing on children from infancy to grade 3, and graduating Cum Laude. Over the past 24 years, I have gained extensive experience in the education field, including supervising daycares for 20 years and working for YRDSB as a DECE.

Since Tamim Academy’s inception, I have been part of this wonderful, growing institution and am thrilled to be entering my third year as the Senior Kindergarten (SK) teacher. My passion for teaching drives me to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for my students. I believe in the importance of fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence in young learners.

Throughout my career, I have continually sought to improve my teaching methods and stay updated with the latest educational practices. I am committed to providing a strong foundation for my students, helping them develop essential skills and a love for learning that will last a lifetime. Being part of my students’ growth and development is incredibly rewarding and I am dedicated to making a positive impact on their educational journey.
